Game Overview:

Fallout Series Download is a 1997 role-playing video game created and released by Interplay Productions. It is set in a mid-22nd century post-apocalyptic and retro-futuristic environment, decades after a worldwide nuclear war between the United States and China. The main character of Fallout, known as the Vault Dweller, lives in a radioactive bunker or underground repository. In addition to engaging in turn-based combat, they engage in conversation with other survivors, some of whom provide them with objectives. 1994 was the year that Tim Cain started working on Fallout. It started out and was conceived of as being based on the role-playing game GURPS; however, after Steve Jackson Games protested to the brutality in Fallout, Cain and designer Christopher Taylor came up with a new character customization scheme that they called SPECIAL.

Initially, Interplay did not pay much attention to the game; however, they finally invested three million dollars and hired as many as thirty individuals to work on its development. In addition to drawing creative influence from the films Mad Max and A Boy and His Dog, Interplay believed Fallout to be the spiritual successor of its role-playing game Wasteland, which was released in 1988. The game also drew inspiration from literature and media from the 1950s that were evocative of the Atomic Age. It was on purpose that the quests were designed to be morally ambiguous. Game Features:

• With a “retro-futuristic” 1950s look blended with a damaged, post-nuclear world, the games have a unique setting and atmosphere. The games are set in an alternate timeline in which atomic technology has taken control.
